Thoughts

I was hesitant at first to dig into this game until a trip to Japan sold me on giving it a second chance after a brief trail run left me feeling swindled. I'm glad that I did as I really ended up enjoying the journey the game took me on. There are a ton of playable characters that all feel unique and play active roles in the story. The world building is interesting and the mood of the game swings between somber post apocalypse and zany cyber punk. The music is catchy and though it is an obvious clone of Persona 5's art style, it is a very satisfying game to behold. The gachapon side of it usually felt bad to be honest but I got lucky often enough that I felt like it wasn't punishing me for not spending a paycheck rolling digital dice. The really powerful characters are harder to get, but as the game is free to play I understand they have devs to feed. All said, I finally pulled the hooks it had in me out when I caught up to the released content. I miss it from time to time so I might go back eventually once more content is released.
