Thoughts

I'm not a huge fishing fanatic even though it seems like every RPG I play these days has a mini game for it. So if there wasn't a story based in Lovecraft lore, I would have skipped this game entirely. The gameplay is pretty zen for the most part with spikes of intensity when things go weird. The story is thin but cute with an impressive twist give how little there is to work with. The lovecraftian tentacles sprout from much of the game's content so it is ever present without weirdly being central to the gameplay loop. It is a simple fishing sim first. The game is enjoyable and a quick play. The music is calming and pleasant to hear. The art is well executed and the controls are fair for being boat controls.
