Thoughts

Code Vein 2 did a fair job of following up a game that I enjoyed. The setting is dark and apocalyptic. The art is vampire kintsugi and the character customizations can lead to some great looking heros. The exploration in this game feels similar is excellence to elden ring in that it is rewarding and fun. I generally don't like to ride vehicles around and the one the game gives you is mediocre but faster than running. The difficulty is well below welden ring so a round or two is usually enough to clear a boss. The game can be made easier if you have a partner out otherwise you just get a stat bonus and all of the enemy hate. The music is not as good as the first game but is reasonable. The story has some hand wavy moments but couples with the gameplay it makes enough sense to still be enjoyable. All said I hope they continue with a 3rd.
